I was so inspired watching Kelis' Acapella video on youtube about two weeks I began creating my new tribal inspired line on etsy. All of these ideas just came to me and I'm still making new pieces everyday.

A spinoff of Project Runway called Project Runway Accessories is in the works and heading to the Lifetime Network. Jewelry making, hats, shoes, handbags and so on are gonna be created and me being a jewelry maker I will most definitely be tuning in. I wonder who the judges will be?

I remember the days of making friendship bracelets back in the 80's with crochet yarn in every color and had them stacked halfway up my arm. Now they have once again become my new jewelry making obsession. I'm still making more but in a more modern way and putting my eclectic twist on it. Just listed in my etsy shop.

Structured Shoulder Trend Over?

Kanye West interviews Rihanna in the December/January issue of Interview magazine. Of course they immediately begin speaking about about fashion where Rihanna says:

. . . I'm over the whole structured clothing, overly shoulder-padded shit. I like stuff that's easy without trying too hard. I don't like stuff that's too contrived.

WEST: So all the trends with the shoulder pads and that shit is over with for you?

RIHANNA: Yeah. I'm not into trends or trendy style anymore.

True indeed Rihanna has been setting trends for the past few years even though her style hasn't been quite the same to me in the past few months she's still in my top 3 but the structured shoulders is one trend I'm not ready to give up on. I still love to wear my vintage structured shoulder blazers. Ashley Olsen even voiced her opinion on the trend earlier this year saying "". . . I think the extreme shoulder, to me — it takes a very special person to pull it off. And I’m kind of ready to move on from that." Balmain is not ready to let this trend go. What do you think?

Would You Rock It?

 I spotted this photo of Natalie Portman at the New York premiere of her new film Black Swan. Her look is very dark guessing going with the theme of the film but I notice she's carrying a book. That couldn't be a handbag but in fact it is an handmade clutch by french designer Olympia Le-Tan.

Barbara Walters sits down with the first couple this Friday at 10pm on ABC.

Barbara ask the First Lady if she was sick of people talking about her arms when Michelle replied,
"No, I will never get sick of people talking about my toned arms. If it's a positive compliment, I am a woman, just, like, bring it on."

Stylish Holiday Maternity Dresses

So I am now 7 months preggers and I need a good party dress. Last year me and my husband won best dressed couple at a Christmas party when I jazzed up a black jumpsuit with feather and pearl pads I made myself.

But finding affordable and stylish maternity clothes can be challenge. Motherhood Maternity clothes are too frumpy, A Pea in the Pod is too expensive, but Asos is just right! They have plenty of sexy body hugging dresses to wear this holiday season for under $100! I also can't forget about Norma Kamali's line at Walmart.com where you can find some very hot dresses for under $30 but you have to constantly check the website because they go fast.

Can You Pull Off A Blue Lip?

When I was younger I wore blue mood lipstick and thought it so fly but now celebs are rockin this unusual lip color in all shades. Amber Rose, Chanel Iman, Video Model Keyshia Dior and now Keyshia Cole is the latest to rock a blue lip on the cover of her new album scheduled to be released December 21 Calling All Hearts.

I'll Wait For Cyber Monday

Well today is Black Friday. Stores like Kmart and Macy's opened at 4am this morning and people were probably waiting in line since 3am to get that $4 toaster and $30 pan set but I myself hate crowds. I remember my mom waking me at 4am to go with her to Kmart to get a diamond tennis bracelet. Everyone is pushing and shoving and that to me is not a great shopping experience.

I am waiting on Cyber Monday which is this Monday, November 29. I don't have to worry about fighting someone over a pair of shoes, I can shop from home in my pajamas and the deals are just as great.
